Shower valve height off floor. For shower stalls install the valve at the standard height of 48 inches or 4 feet. A height of 28 inches or 2 feet 4 inches is standard for valves in bathtub shower units. I find if you have a shower valve fitted over the bath then 1300mm off the floor is a good height. Measured from centerline running vertically through the center of the toilet supply line hole should be 6 inches to the side of centerline. Cold water only pipe creates one hole between 5 and 10 inches above the floor supply line horizontal. However people who are particularly tall may want to consider installing their basins a little higher to take the pressure off their backs when it comes to bending over the sink every morning. Place the controls so that all users can easily access them.

Check toilet to confirm location water supply connection. I would have to bend over to turn water on. I put my valve 25 inches off the floor if i remember right for a tub and just wing the tubspout to whatever i think looks good. I figure once i installed the shower pan and the sloped tiled floor it would be 26 above my feet.

Toilet rough in details supply line height. For shower only controls between 36 and 48 inches from the floor is common. Check local building codes looking up local building codes is a great starting point if you want to install your shower valve at the right height. Employ your helper to hold the fixture at an estimated height and then see if it s a comfortable reach for all users.
