Shower door no studs. Neighbor asked if i could help install a shower door. Anyway i couldn t for the life of me find studs behind the shower stall front walls. The only way to entirely prevent spotting and soap scum to wipe down the shower door after every use. So the vertical rail has a stud to drill into.

The shower door shouldn t be that heavy but you certainly don t want a bunch of glass raining down on someone. It would probably be a good idea to put a stud if you still don t feel the anchors will work for you. Screws or fasteners can be attached directly to the stud and will sufficiently support the wall jamb. There is no stud directly behind that offset part that holds the the top railing that holds the glass.

For tile use a masonry bit. No framing for shower door so some genius me forgot to put in framing for a shower door in this nice shower i have now since tiled. The left side stud is at the end of the tiling not where the shower threshold is. They got tired of the mess.
